A Dual Feed Foot with its own Interchangeable Feet

Leave it to the Husqvarna Viking folks to come up with the foot that we've all been dreaming of---a dual feed foot with more than one foot of its own so that we can use it to stitch more than a straight stitch!

The Interchangeable Dual Feed Foot (sometimes called a Walking Foot or Even Feed Foot ) helps you out on all those projects that a typical dual feed foot helps with; feeding heavy quilts or other projects, moving knits or slippery fabrics through your machine evenly. One thing that is a challenge when going from sewing garments from patterns to quilting is that 1/4 inch seam.

It has to be so precise and there is so little room for error. If you're having problems with piecing your quilts on that 1/4 inch accurately that is the time to come by the sewing center and find some help.

A rotary cutter is an essential part of quilting, but using one of these for cutting can be daunting to beginners with all thumbs. The last time I was in for a class at the sewing center I got to try out a smaller sized cutter and guess what? It worked like a dream in my hand!

This is the type of tip that you pick up at the classes that we have at the sewing center; the simple solutions to problems you didn't know existed. So if you, like me, just don't have a great relationship with your rotary cutter, sign up for a quilting class or come in and try out a different size rotary cutter.
