Quilts Presented to Hospice

Last Friday the Highland Sewing Center presented the first batch of quilts to the hospice in our sewing for a cause benefit.

Alan Risberg on the right, the owner of Highland Sewing Center provided the space, materials, and in some cases the sewing equipment. The ladies, customers and employees of the sewing center, provided the sewing expertise under manager Joan's gentle tutledge. (Joan is on the left answering the telephone.)

We've been quilting for the hospice for a couple of months now and this coming Thursday morning we'll be gathering together for more quilting fun. Bring your sewing machine and sewing kit---the center has all the fabric and supplies ready. You'll learn new quilting skills for free at the same time you'll be feeling good about giving your time sewing  for families in need of comfort.

In other news at Highland Sewing Center there are two applique quilt blocks this month and there are some real beauties. Just look at these blocks:

What talent! Love that choice of fabric and embellishments! You can make this lovely quilt too.

Come join in the fun!
